Oh my!!

Oh my, what have I done to my burdeoning Chelsea garden. In my eagerness to have it all NOW, I have bought too many plants (40 mixed perennials for £17.50 bargain or what?) and have nowhere to store them, therefore my new side patio now resembles a garden centre, with nowhere to sit for my relaxing morning coffee. The back garden doesn’t fair much better, it is now a scene of total devastation. My husband is building me a ‘guilt’ pergola. He bought a VERY expensive watch and told me afterwards, me being the kind and understanding wife smiled and told him how lovely it was, and how he deserved to spoil himself every now and then (what do you mean crafty & devious, moi?!!). So I now have one very lovely pergola over the steps up onto the lawn, but my newly weeded & fed lawn is covered in rubble from the wall and bricks that had to be taken down. Oh well ‘no pain, no gain’ as they say. Just have the trellis fencing and raised beds to do and new beds to dig for all these perennials – well it was a VERY expensive watch!!

If he can have a watch you can at least have a pergola lol. It's going to look lovely when things start to climb over it.

No, the sun was on Sunday, the husband even got sunburnt on the back of his neck, believe it or not. Totally different up here today though only 7 degrees in the sun, but the concrete has set & the trusses can come off tomorrow and I can finish painting it
