It was such a treat to look on my homepage and see all the lovely messages.
I am so grateful to you, and hope you’ll forgive me if I don’t reply to each one, so I’ll try to cover it all.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get out that much, so I took some photo’s in my daughter’s garden which is about 6 miles from Glasgow and a couple of the Autumn colours in the hotel grounds. It was nice to be spoilt by her and to enjoy her lovely food (she’s a good cook – well had good teacher!) She is our eldest of 5 and is single and a semi-retired teacher. She loves gardening, like her mother, and has worked extremely hard on a garden which looked like a rubbish dump 8 years ago. She grows vegetables too. Also dug out and made her pond. She lives alone but has a huge number of friends who are always asking for her help and advice for their own gardens.
I’m crossing my fingers now, hoping I can put the photo’s on.
Thanks again everyone, and I must catch up on the news too.

It is not that way here at all..we have snow in our mountains this morning and it is in the high 40's and blustery and wet...feeling like the time of year that it is for sure!

Drc726 I can hardly believe its 70 degrees in Sussex. They were talking on the radio about the mild weather, and although its quite mild here in Norfolk, it has drizzled all day so doesn't feel very warm.
And Catfinch - high 40's. I couldn't stand that, much too hot. 25 is my upper limit. You are such a huge country though that the variations are great, like snow in the mountains. My grandson spent a week in Washington the week before last. He didn't mention the heat, but he had just returned from Italy where it was about 40 too.
Yes Drc726, it is nice when someone does the cooking for you, although I usually quite like cooking. Its still nice to have a change.
Thank you Lincslass, I am glad to share my daughter's garden with you, and she would be very proud that people liked seeing it. She doesn't have a computer herself - by choice.

Ah that's better. It was 40c in Italy though. He went to Washington DC. His life-long friend works in the British Embassy there, but Dominic went for a workshop on Ergonomics. A mystery to me, but he is a Doctor of it/them.
No wonder then that he didn't mention the excessive heat in Washington!
