POT ...atoes and baby fronds

I have been working all weekend in the garden it’s been brilliant, warm sunshine , no wind and outside real early in morning . First job was to get the potato pots out from the tents and cover the plants with soil , I never realised I had so many!.(thats not them all)
After taking the fleece of the tree ferns a couple of weeks ago , I started spraying them with misted water every couple of days and lo and behold the spikey headed £25 bargain from B&Q in the winter is bursting out with baby fronds!!!!!
And here is spikey in all his glory , spikey and his long haired friend will be getting planted in the ground very soon
One of the smaller greenhouses there is a heater also I sit the plants in heated propagators , tomatoes and chillies and courgettes just planted today.

The garden centre I was in over weekend was wanting £1.20 for a courgette plant , this is probably normal , they had to give me a seat and waft me with a towel . .. . £1.20 indeed.

Oh my word, how many potatoes are you expecting to grow??? I was thinking about maybe four bags but all of them????

hee hee Madmum , it's amazing nobody but cats and dogs come to see me but when the first earlies are ready its like radar , one of my mates even turns up with his own empty plastic bag ! . . . . . . .. . . . .plus I really like potatoes !!!!

Amazing! It looks like my row of pots with lilies in...Well we are all different, thank goodness - yes, I know I can't eat lilies! :-)

Everything looking good and healthy I,m like Spritz and my pots are lilies and hostas but I do pop a few potatoes in a couple of bags ........

Your plants are looking good! I planted courgette seeds today too, and a few other veg seeds. We were lucky enough to get an allotment at the end of last year. It's been derelict for years so we've got a lot of work ahead of us but we'll get there. Last year we bought baby plants off the market because it was too late to grow anything from seed but I'm hoping to raise more plants myself this year. i like your tree fern. Instant impact!
