Making my garden statuary “ POP”......

In recent years I have been painting in oils more than acrylic which meant I had quite a number of tubes of acrylic paint getting old and not too far in the future would become unworkable. Most of my garden statuary which I place in my garden to give it a whimsical feeling as well as focal points is made of resin. Unfortunately this resin comes in a single drab color so I decided to make use of my acrylic paints and turn these garden ornaments from monochrome to polychrome. I also found this task quite enjoyable going from painting in two dimensions on canvas to three dimensions as it were on the ornaments. In the photos to come you will first see my outdoor “art studio” with a fountain I am completing, and a beagle which needs some touching up. Also included are photos of two once drab statues and water fountains which I made pop with a few added colors.

Wish I could do that, I do like to see all the characters that adorn your garden, a few of mine could do with a touch up, I won't even attempt it though, I'm completely useless at painting so mine , like myself are fading with age, lol, luckily the majority are stone so they are allowed to gain discoloration and a growth of moss, "Ye Olde Worlde Charm"... its very appropiate as I do live in an ancient town, not down in the old stone area's, couldn't possibly afford to do that but I love it .
Lovely photo's L'strife x........

Very magical place you have, Loosestrife. It certainly has given it a lovely “pop’’! It’s a great idea to give older garden features some pizazz and add some cheerfulness.
It looks like it’d be a very therapeutic project..
