Say Hello to "peanut"!

Hi,

We saw him/her for the first time today – strong heartbeat (9 weeks), and very emotional moment. So I thought just for fun that I would share 1 pic with you!

It is still so unreal to me, I wish I could hear that heartbeat again now, I am proud, and to be honest a little worried, pray all will go well, we need to do a few more tests/screens. My wife looks beautiful, radiant and it is just a pleasure to watch her! At this moment, I love my life!

I can see you are bursting with pride,Lt..and rightly so..such a wonderful thing to see your first child..and to watch him/her grow together...Mine was called 'Fred' :o) till she was born, and decided Alison suited her better :o)))

Wow ....such an amazingly special moment. Thank you for sharing it with us. Peanut is very good- looking. Not sure at this stage if he/she takes after radiant mummy or proud daddy. Time will tell. Congratulations to you both ...& to tiny Peanut of course. It's the most exquisite moment in the world when a baby is truly loved & wanted.

A heartfelt thanks to all of you! I have tried to keep calm about it all, but our family got wind of it and some have already send presents. I am actively trying to put the breaks on it all in order to protect my wife, although I do understand, as most did not think we will have children, as did we.

The pet name 'peanut' sort of stuck after I told my very proud parents that he/she is about the size of a peanut a few weeks ago! I am so glad that my 80year old dad can still see this.

How exciting, many congratulations.
My friend Holly who is 3 years old informs us that the baby in her Mummy's tummy is called Biscuit!

Thanks Lulu, Mona. Like Biscuit! LOL! I am jokingly saying "peanut" for girl and "peanuts" for boy! Hahaha. Just have a bit of fun.

That's fantastic!...isn't technology wonderful? Now you can see little 'Peanut' long before he/she sees you. I can sense the excitement in your comments on here...and no wonder. Our Granddaughter was also Peanut, prior to her birth and she still gets in now from time to time as a sign of endearment.
Many congratualtions to you and your wife. :):):)

Peanuts, that's funny!!

Congrats. My eldest was the size of a bean when we first saw 'it' and as it was side ways on it was a broad bean. she remained an 'it' as at every scan it was 'shy' and kept us guessing. thankfully she still is 'shy'. The youngest was a longer baby and was a 'string bean' and also an it until she was born.

My brother had a 'plug' for his son and a 'socket' for his daughter!!

Thanks, yes I heard some people call them popcorn in the first 3 months. Peanut just stuck from the first moment I mentioned it.

Thanks, It is Driad - still processing, luckily the Dec. holiday will also give much needed time for us to really look forward and also reflect. Hectic year! The little heartbeat is something else, to know your love of now nearly 16years created that! Very special indeed!
