A visit to Loch Lomond

My husband Barry and I often visit Loch Lomond in the Summer for a picnic and a swim. This July and August have been so wet we have not had a chance to enjoy the benefits of the Scottish countryside. But!!!! here we are in September and it has been a wonderful day, 22 degrees and although Barry couldn’t quite submerge himself in the above zero water we have dipped our feet in the loch. A visit to the pub and home.
Summer in one day I think!

Your blog brings back lots of happy memories for me Linda. when I was little I lived in Glasgow and my dad would often take us to Loch Lomond by train. I remember the loch was great for skimming stones. of course at that age I didnt appreciate having such a wonderful area so close to the city! thanks for sharing
