RIP Tipsy.....

Sadly we had to say goodbye to our pretty lady, Tipsy was with us for 18yrs,in her early years she was what can only be described as a female with attitude but in recent years she became a very loving cat, in all that time although tiny she was always a very healthy cat, we were hoping she would go in her sleep but sadly that wasn’t the case..

I like to think she is now playing happily over Rainbow Bridge with her old playmates….Bless her she will be missed very much….

Terrible isn't it :( It never gets easier. I'm glad Tipsy had many happy years with you Sue. She was very pretty.
I know what you mean by a cat with attitude !
My sympathy to you all ...

Sorry to hear about your loss, Sue. ? It's always difficult when we lose a long time pet.

We lost 5 little dogs over a period of a year some years ago. They were born in our home in Spain & were brought back to the UK when we returned 16 years ago. They lived here about 7 years but were also about 7 when we came back here.

Sorry for your loss Lin. I've lost a few old buddies myself. They truly are family members. I'm grateful for the happiness they've brought to my life.

Oh lincslass, I'm so sorry that you have lost your beloved cat Tipsy; I think only other pet lovers can understand just how devastating it can be to lose a pet you have shared your home with for many years.

Some people can be quite insensitive (not on here naturally) and carp that it's 'not like losing a family member' but I disagree; animals touch us in ways that humans never can.

I can remember some folks laughing when I used to refer to my husband and dog as our 'family' and yet there was a programme on just lately (10 Puppies and Us) and they all spoke of the pets being a part of and making up their 'family'.

Thankyou all, its right they do become part of the family, especially when being with us for such a long time. Luckily we have Toffee who is only two years old because we cannot get another kitten, it wouldn't stand a chance against little Harriet..
