indian blanket

hi everybody, thanks to all that liked my recent pictures. i would like to urge you all to try growing gaillardia from seed, it is so easy and sown early they will bloom in the same season. i buy my seeds from wallis seeds in chelmsford. they are very good priced and you would be helping an old fashioned salt of the earth seeds merchant. all the blooms you see in my photos are grown from seed, their new giant hybrids are 74p and they are all the perennials in the pictures, this year i sowed G. burgundy and the first has just come in to flower( i only sowed it in may) and the annual ones were thompson and morgan. i am cutting right down on annuals now as the garden is maturing but i will sow them again next season( i have enough left). the new giants i have had for three years and the seed is still viable. wallis also have seeds of G. arizona sun 1.93, G.dazzler.79 and G.goblin .90. the seed count is good too. sorry to go on but i use wallis seeds for nearly all my sowing needs, they are good enviromentally also as they mostly use plain paper and black and white, if you need to see how the plants you want to grow look, then just look on the internet or in other seed catologues. thanks again lemondog.p s their veg seeds start from 45p per packet again with good seed counts.

You`ve dog well lemondog, they are lovely flowers. I`m just don`t seem to do very well with planting seeds but I`ll have another go next year. Well done for using a small company as opposed to the larger companies. :o)
