It is still beautiful and pleasant outside and I wonder how long it will last.
In front the Japanese Maple Crimson Queen is loosing its leaves now. It is dense branching and a good winter shelter for all small birds including hummingbirds.

The cosmos is blooming right now like it would be middle of summer. This is only one plant. It was not meant to be so tall. I have several in different places and they all look the same….very tall.

Japanese maple Waterfall in forest setting….brightens the spot. I planted it in half barrel few years back just for that reason…it is chartreuse green all year round..

Detail of leaves.

Still lots of leaf colour around

This Japanese Maple ‘Atropurpureum’ has not lost one single leaf yet and the colour intensity is remarkable.

Few bits of colouful blooms but very little now

Salvia I bought for our hummingbirds is still blooming.

Calendulas grown from seeds do not seem to mind that it is November.

I got out all the annuals from my pots on deck but the verbena still looks good. So next year I will buy more of them.

Pink verbena

We inherited this Dawn Viburnum (Viburnum x bodnantense) and it is a huge (shrubby) plant right now. I have never pruned it and it snakes around our deck’s rail. It is quite fragrant and I am sure that is why it was planted where it is. It blooms beautifully all winter long. Leaves are turning purple right now but will fall off eventually and only these bright little flowers will dot the bare branches. Very pretty.

A Canadian garden angel on guard.

This Bigleaf Maple is close to our driveway so all these leaves will have to be dealt with soon (sigh) .

It is a very large tree and hard to photograph.

So far we have been lucky with our weather but forecast is not very favorable.

You have a beautiful garden, Klahanie! An array of gorgeous colours and amazing plants. It’s always lovely to feel like we’ve had a tour around. I do love Japanese maples, we have a few little ones - compared to yours! ☺️
The waterfall, umbrella shaped one is so striking among the forest greenery.

Such a joy to see your garden, everything blends together perfectly, is that a large camellia you have if so a bet that’s a picture in the spring, do you have the acer that puts on its autumn foliage in the spring it had lovely pink shrimp foliage the name escapes me, one of the gardens I work in had a magnificent specimen but this year during last winters it has died along with a Ginko, wisteria and a Chinese rain tree, Koelrutea I fear that he may have phytophora in the garden, in the fields at the back of his garden many blackthorn have also suddenly died its a huge concern as his garden is full of unusual plants .

All looking fantastic Klahanie. Yes, Verbena is a favourite of mine - so long-flowering - and your Viburnum is quite beautiful 🙂.
