Angel with cracks and message for Advent.

This is the angel, whom you saw in the spring. There appeared many cracks on him and they spread all over his body. His creator, artist whom I know, cannot do anything to stop it. Wood works, she says.

As if he was the messenger of the end of old times. And so it comes to my mind… This advent song, which has so beautiful text.

I tried to translate the text for you.

“That text has only ten sentences
Who wants, he can think about it.
But not everyone catches its contents.

It’s a practical guide
And probably valid forever.
It definitely has a wider use.

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah …

Those ten points of God phrases
Could easily save the world
But there was always something that fouled.
Oh how much we can make excuses, like
Only if I could, I would like to …
But in fact we have already accustomed to the evil.

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah …

And you do not need to know piles of books
And use the word sin
Think of it as of the recipe for dill soup

And you do not need to stand in the church
A guardian angels invoke
Although I do rather sometimes go there.

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah …

So first of all, we should not
permanently worm in foreign beds,
And lie and fight
And indicate neighbours
Have a taste of their lunch
It’s also a shame that makes me woe.

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah …

And maybe you remember again
That too much work is a spirit glutton.
And it’s good sometimes to sit down and sing.

And maybe it would be good to teach the children
That the weak do also have the right to live.
Seriously, one cannot watch all that any longer."

Nice Advent time to all of you! May you all see a lot of angels.

I have always loved angels & have several in my house throughout the year. I haven't put up a single Christmas decoration yet! I need to get moving or it will all be over lol.

So sad to see those cracks.
And yes, if we all lived by all those ten points the world would be a better place indeed.

A happy Advent to you too, Katarina. It is one of my favourite seasons.

Dwyllis@do not worry, I didn´t put up a single Christmas decoration, too. First, it is tradition here, that people do that night before the Christmas and leave it on till 6th January. Modern commercial times make X-mas trees visible in shops in October, lol. I think, I paired with you, as at the moment I have the same problems as you, but with cervical spine and that is really very painful. Going to MRI next week, so I will see if I go for oeration or not.
Melchisedec@thank you very much, happy Advent to all your family.
Steragram@yes, you are right. I have recently read a very good article here on "Why Must the End of the World Come" and it listed perverse behaviour of people nowadays, listing thus modern deviant value scale. Just for fun, we have 11 commandments here. The eleventh is "You will not kill still living love" :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your neck, Katarina. I hope you do not need surgery. I used to have lots of problems with my neck in my thirties, but I seldom have any problems now. My recent MRI has shown that there has been sufficient re-absorption to relieve pressure on sciatic nerve now. Two tears in annular (is that right?) on L4-5 & L5-S1 are healing up. My main problem now is weakness in my left leg & foot, but the foot has not dropped. So looks as if I will not need surgery now. I saw the specialist two days ago & will see him again in just over a week. So I am doing exercises to strengthen leg & making sure I do not allow my foot to flop outward, as had developed outward pronation. Painful to keep it up straight, but less painful than it was. MRI also showed there was quite a bit of osteo arthritis over lumbar region, but no stenosis at this point. my father had severe osteo in his spine in his old age, & had several fusion surgeries. i guess i am taking after him. Please let me know how your MRI goes. Take care, my friend.

once the damp comes out the cracks should shrink somewhat . with some carefull clamping youd be able to probably glue the rest .

Shouldn't be the end of the world Kat but we'll soon know, Dec 21 ; )

its a really beautiful piece of music ~ one of, if not the best!

Steve, that singer looks too shy to me. I like strong characters and strong voices. This song must be sung with accents, like waves on the seashore. Like this:

..........but, they are not my favourite for this song

It is not about Il divo or about that singer, it is about THE WAY how the sing is sung. That I didn´t like. Honestly, the best version for me is up up this column :))) Ach, Sticki, you are such a peacekeeper :)))) Happy Christmas.
