Well i managed to get in the garden to do a few jobs yesterday, weather still a little cold but had to make a start.
first the greenhouses.. needed to tidy them

just need to wash the side panels now.

cleared this up a bit & a few pots, put in some new topsoil & compost.

paving slabs are a mess with moss,i will get the jet wash on them (when its a bit warmer). snowdrops just peeping through in this little bed.

a few snowdrops in flower in another part of the garden..

daffs standing to attention.

ah well uncle Foster seems pleased with the 3 hours i spent outdoors with him ..

pouring down with rain today so i am pleased i got a bit done yesterday..

6d the gnome was found in one of 2 large plastic urns with lids on..in my back garden about 8 yrs ago..i never found out who left them there..maybe someone left them in the wrong garden.. so i called him Foster gnome, mind you no one is going to come back for him now so i should call him adopted lol.

Doesn't it make you feel good just to do something outdoors? Looking very tidy in those greenhouses now, puts my 'potting shed' to shame! So good to see the Snowdrops again too. : o )

thanks Shirley, yes it was good to get out just cant wait for better weather.. but we all feel the same.now about that untidy potting shed..lol :o)

Lol, Joan, no room in the garden for a proper shed so we use our 1940's style garage, well, impossible to get a car in as it's a tiny garage! OH has made one side the gardening one, how very thoughtful, and made a potting bench from an old worktop. Oh yes, nothing but the best for me. : o ))

lol, my OH would have taken it over for tools & man stuff..at least he was thinking of you aww bless him :o)

I also had a tidy up of the GH on the allotment last Monday. Things just get shoved in & under benches - waiting for a nice warm sunny day, just like we had on Monday! LOL!

On Tuesday it was the turn of the little plastic GH on my balcony. I found that practically all the Geraniums & all the Pelargoniums there had succumbed to the hard frost of the winter for the first time since I've had this GH. :-(( Now I have no plants for my summer bedding! :-(( I'll just have to buy some plants I suppose as my own seedling Geraniums were killed as well as the cuttings. If we are going to have more winters like these last two I shall just give up trying to overwinter tender plants. I have no room inside the flat & anyway it would be too warm for them & they would waste their energy in trying to grow.

what a shame you lost all those plants,i lost loads of marigolds after transplanting them so have sown some more, sometimes you are better off buying the plants its less hassle.i only had a few plants in the cold greenhouse over winter & lost most of those too.:o)
