I have a large yard that is all grass and would like to start a vegetable garden in an old spa that is not usable. My husband and son say no. That fiberglass or bromide(which we used to clean the water when it was in use) will kill anything that I try planting in it. I was planning on putting down a pallet on the bottom and covering that with something(I've read of using old carpet but am wondering if that would leech some chemicals into the soil also)not penetrable over the pallet.
