We have just spent the weekend of our 34th anniversary in the spectacular Kielder Forest area, including National Trust sites at Cragside and Wallington, seen below. Perfect spring weather made this a great break. It seems to have put a smile on Mary’s face anyway!

Thanks Drc726. There are reputedly, red squirrels in this area but we didn't see any this time. Did get a good sighting of a goshawk though. JB

Hi Mavisc52, Yes, Wallington Hall is a great place to visit but as the weather was so good, we did not see inside the house this time. The gardens were magnificent though.
