Harlow Carr Gardens, (RHS), HARROGATE 23- March

Sunday 23-March.
Today seemed as though the fine weather would hold so we decided to take the leisurely, one hour drive to Harlow Carr.
We arrived in time for an interesting talk on Irises by Simon Dodsworth, including a display of some of his own varieties.

After this, and the obligatory coffee & scone at ’Betty’s’ we enjoyed a wallk around the gardens, where the early spring bulbs and winter barks are in fine display.

I love Harlow Carr and aren't the displays wonderful.

Bullfinch and nuthatch on one feeder, fantastic, was that Harlow Carr as well or your garden? Thanks for reminding me about H.C, i will hopefully get a chance during the week. Their willowbed is just brilliant. Good photos.

Thanks for the comments all. HC always makes a nice 'day out'. Colour everywhere now, with spring bulbs & winter bark etc. The bird-hide is an extra attraction & allowed me to take these bird-shots.
