Sunshine here today & temps are between 5-6 so the Snows Melting away


Its nice to see the Grass again :) But Poor Borders are Puddles now :(

Roll on i'm deffinatley with you on that. Still got abit of snow here, it keeps thawing all day then every evening it freezes it again, then its like a skating ring.

I know Clarice its been the same here :( We had to break & clear the Snow/Ice outside my Front on the Road as Phil couldnt get his work van on the drive due to it being so slippery :(

I will be very pleased to see it all go away again, unfortunately it seems as if it will be another week at least for us!

Poor Jacque, it does look depressing, but you know that it will recover, somehow it almost always does, doesn't it?
Have you heard the long range forecast? IF they're right, it will be snowy again for New Year. Roll on Spring and Summer.
Some parts of your garden look more well drained than others, don't they?
Our's is too well drained, even after torrential long lasting rain, only the top few inches are damp.
Fingers crossed for New Year Jacque.

I wonder if its a damp area as it has a lot of water to be flooding already..
If it is normally damp have you considered boggy garden type plants that will love all that water ??

My gardens all flooded with the heavy rain we have had on and off recently..... cant wait 4 the warmer weather........... as we had the snow before christmas, its going to make it a long winter i think..........

Hi Jacque..al that melted snow ! Ours still covered in frozen snow today.It melts a little in the day then freezes over again quickly !

On the plus side have little pockets of snowdrop and crocus bulbs starting to push through ! Roll on the Spring !
