Depends on what the chest of drawers is made of - is it painted, stained... you might have been better asking this as a question Jacque

Jacki? I put this in search - 'Gardening question - Please can you tell me if I can use the ash from my wood burning fire in my garden' Thats how I found it.

Found it on search Jaquie - Warman asked on 18 Oct 'i wishuse of wood ash in the soil'

Really shouldnt be a problem Jacque as ash full of nitrates ..think of those countries that have natural fires due to lightning etc ,They recover ..large areas of moorland burnt here each year and better for it.

Jacque said in first response that the box s 'not real wood'. Chipboard has a lot of chemicals in the adhesives and so I would not want to spread this ash on the garden.

Hi BulbA the Ashes will be put onto a Grass Area that is used for growing Wildflowers ect do u think itl really harm them ?

I don't know, Jacque, but I would prefer not to use it on my garden.
