I am always amazed and impressed at how you just get stuck in and do all this woodwork, Jacque! You are Soooo practical. I wish I was! Your planter will look terrific in the spring. :-)

Well done Jacque.
This is another great example of how you get on with things, and it gives real practical advice and encouragement to all fellow gardeners on this site.
Keep up the good work.
Love from both of us and take it easy with your hands. We hope you are not feeling too uncomfortable.

AAAAAAAwwwwwww Thanx Spritz xxx Lets just say i had a Dad who let me Watch & Learn @ same time as getting in his way & being told im Nosey lol ;) I think he`d be proud of me now & Im glad he never turned me away :D

How true that is! My husband got his D.I.Y. skills from his father, and our son is also practical. He used to follow his Grandad around all the time as a young child, and always 'helped' his Dad, too!

My own father wasn't into it at all - and we were three girls, so that explains a lot, doesn't it!

Still, we can't all do everything, can we?

Lovely barrow Jacque they make a fantastic planter. I had a old barrow given to me the ones with the old steel wheel. I gave it to my mother when she was alive and she planted flowers in it every year. Well the wood finally rotted away and my father rebuilt it with the old rustic look and my mother was back planting flowers.
I have a photo of her sitting next to it that she had given me. When I was going through her possessions after her death I found the white gloves she wore to church the same ones in the photo so I attached them to a frame and hung it up. When I get a chance to scan it as my scanner is not working I will upload to goy.
