Hi all,

I am based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Am a complete novice when it comes to gardening. I moved into my house last year and it has a good size garden back and front - my last house - I just had a "yarden" - yep - a yard with potted plants!

I removed an area of "lawn" at the back and put into 2 veggie patches (8 ft x 3ft and 6ft by 3ft) - and was able to feed myself for 5 months! Something I am quite proud of and completely amazed. It is nice on Christmas day to tuck into veg that you have grown yourself. And now I am hooked!

I tried in the front garden for a "cottage" style garden - with some success. This will be my main work this year (2008).
