New's item!

Hello everyone!
It’s Friday! Am feeling it a bit working in a school with the lead up to Christmas!
Of to Plymouth for a spot of Xmas shopping tomorrow which isn’t really relevant to GOY but on the way home my friend and I are stopping at Cothele – owned by National Trust. We are going to see the famous garland on display in The Great Hall made from all the dried flowers from the estate’s summer gardens. My Mum had always wanted to see it and didn’t and as the anniversary of her death was on Monday it seems fitting to go for her. Will hopefully get some good photos of it to post on GOY!
Called this blog ’new’s item’ because just seen on our spotlight local news that Trebah Gardens in Falmouth heve uncovered an area of tropical planting that looks amazing! Will have to visit it in the spring and take some photos.
Hope you and your gardens are all ok? We are getting the wind chill off the sea here in North Cornwall but not the snow that a lot of you are coping with. Your snowy photos look chocolate box like but the reality is different?!
Take care
Jo x

That garland sounds amazing.
Kind of you to think of taking some photos for us to see.
Good idea to visit on the anniversary of your Mum's death.

Do you belong to the National Trust, or do you just visit their properties occasionally? I have a friend who is very involved with the NT and often goes to their gardens and buildings.

Has that Cothele place been on TV before. Because I have seen something like it on TV, apparently they do this every year. It is looks like hard work but amazing by the looks of it. The garland goes on and on. Have a good time there, can't wait to see pics.

I know we went to Cotehele years ago when we were on holiday in Cornwall, but the garland wouldn't have been up then. Have a good trip, Gwenda! Don't spend too much, ;-)
