holiday over !

Well here I am again hoping to put together a interesting blog about my holiday. John and I went to Fuengirola on the Costa del sol. It is a lovely place and the hotel wasfirst class. We were lucky enough to have a room which overlooked the beach just across the road. it was wonderful waking to the sound of the waves.

I of course was snap happy on every occasion possible but obviously could only take advantage of the plants I saw in public places so here are some I found on our outings. So sorry everyone but I am afraid I don’t know the names of any of them, but I know most of you will.

The sun coming up as we waited to go on a trip to Gibraltar

The Rock of Gibraltar

Whoops! don’t know how the poppies got on! These lovely apes were fab and didn’t show any tendecies to grab or bite as I had heard rumours of!

This beautiful shrub was in the coach park where we waited for our boat to take us to see……….

These wonderful dolphins were the highlight of my holiday. very difficult to get the pics though as they are so fast. I just hung my arm over the side of boat and just kept snapping. I was in great danger of falling over the side as I was being jostled by every body else intent on the same thing. I was relieved to get these two shots.

just joking! the sand artists are so clever, don’t you agree?

Lovely spot - looks like a great place to visit. The sunrise photo is gorgeous - very nice pink and red hibiscus, lovely lantana and a nice shot of the blue plumago.

Thank you Irish for you nice comment. The holiday was truly great. There was a sad moment though as my camera "froze" when editing snaps in hotel room 5 days before we were due to come home so no more photos. I placed it on photo "dock" when I got home and it mended itself. Phew!!
Thank you Bernieh for your information. I have written down the plant names for future reference. I knew I could rely on my good friends on GOY :~))))

You had lovely weather, then! Which bit of Fuengirola did you go to? We went there some years ago - in February - and still had lovely sunshine! We were in the South of the Island.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday - the large flowers are varieties of Hibiscus and the orange/yellow shrub is a Lantana. I think the blue shrub might be a Plumbago. The dolphins are fantastic! We've got our weather back now so you are redeemed from pinching our sun!

Dear Spritzhenry no need for apologies, I have senior moments all the time :~)))))) It has just taken me 20 mins to get on site as I had forgotten my password!

Yes Blodyn and Lincslass the dolphins are wonderful....made my holiday very special. I was really upset when camera 'froze' before the end of holiday it rather spoiled my last few days and I felt like part of me was missing! LOL
