First of all thank you all for your support and good advice.
Took B to the lovely groomer this morning. Two and a half hours later he is very much lighter having lost masses of his tangled coat. What took the most time was getting the matted hair from between his pads, it must have been so painfull for him.
When I asked Carol, the groomer, how much it was she said ‘Nothing, I’m happy to help’. As she had given up her Sunday morning I insisted on paying her, but what a kind offer.
I tried to take some ‘after’ photographs but the boy is so happy to be relieved of his heavy coat he doesn’t really want to keep still.

Oh he must be so much happier now. He looks so cozy in his nice little bed with his blankets. How nice of the groomer to offer her services. Well done Ginellie

Awwww, what a cutie!! He looks so happy in his bed, thoroughly worn out too, I'm sure! My King Charles is always tired out when I give her a bath, let alone a haircut!!

He so is Ddaisy, and meeting lots of new friends in the park. Today was a medium Sophie walk which Beano took in his stride. I am so happy to see him enjoying just being outside.

that is a nice looking dog. lets hope he doesnt have to go back to where you rescued him from. jolly decent of the groomer too.
