Thanks Terra, San xx :o)
Bernieh, the patio area is covered by a pergola bearing a Passsion vine and honeysuckle.
It's also under the cover of a Dicksonia so yes they lighten up the area a bit..... a bit like putting a lamp on in a dark corner! :o)

Can see some of the Dicksonia up at the top ... would look fantastic when the honeysuckle and passiflora are in bloom.

The honeysuckle flowers first then the passiflora takes over. I've also planted jasmine there since I took this shot, the evening perfume is almost narcotic!

Absolute heaven! Lucky you! You're on my visit list when I come over!

Junglegen:

You garden look terrific! I love the Nasturtium!

Nasturtium grows wild here in winter...they are blooming all over now since we've had some really good rains a couple of weeks ago.

I bet that looks fantastic, would love to see that D, do they get blackfly when they grow in the wild or do they only get that when we try to grow them in the garden? lol
Have you tried eating them?

6 Feb, 2010

Junglejen:

Never noticed blackfly on them here. Naturstium grows wild mostly on the north sides of the mesas where it's semi-shady...or under tall Eucalyptus trees.

I will try to get some photos of the Nasturstiums soon. It can be a little difficult because they are usually growing above busy roads and the freeways.

OMG Delonix1, I have visions of you balanced precariously above the freeway, hope you have a good zoom on your camera! lol

9 Feb, 2010

Junglejen:

Yes, my new camera has a good zoon lens.
It may be a little bit of a challenge to get some good photos of the wild Nasturtiums here. I'm going to try anyway.
