Not Trillium luteum

Not Trillium luteum (Trillium)

This is the Trillium I 'found' in the place I though I had planted luteum, but it's just flowered and obviously isn't yellow. I was sure I saw this flowering yellow 20 years ago. Maybe that died and this is a self seeded kurabayashii, but darker purple than my original.

Very mysterious, mine have spread slightly this year.

My original kurabayashii is the best it's ever been this year. T. grandiflorum is just pushing thro' the soil.

How strange but this one is a lovely colour.

I was worried with all the rain mine may have rotted off

DAWN, The T. grandiforum seems to come up later than my others. I bought a T erectum rhizome last year, kept in a pot, that's just coming though. Need to plant out this year.

It’s a beauty whichever one it is........

I'll need to purchase a real luteum.
