take a while to get going, need damp moist soil, and a fair bit of shade, but once their feet are down make quite a show....

Motty thanks, Andrew and Meadow they are very fussy, have put in three more but different varieties, still very small, but hoping they will do as well, they are the very dark leafed ones with bright pink flowers....fingers crossed.

Bother, just looked it up and not recommended for 'frost pockets' and the corner I live on is known locally as 'frosty corner' :(

Added to my wish list - weird that I never had any interest in gardening for the 20+ years that I've had space. Moving to a yard and front border and I'm struggling to keep my wish list within reasonable limits.
