The Top Pond (Sarracenia)

The Top pond taken over entirely by plants, Sarracenia carnivorous plants and blue Pontederia, the pickerel weed.

I could never get pontederia going - gave up in the end

Runs like Usain Bolt !!!! Seriously though don't I think Ive ever divided the basket, just taken off overshoot rhizomes, so must be years old.

I first saw it in a garden, growing in the shallows at the side of a lake where it had made a large colony. It obviously took a dislike to Bracknell though :-(

Three ponds, one for fish and a few (at present) marginals, small pond now taken over by Primula, was for Carniverous, now moved to the above mid-size top pond.
Ps and a bird's drinking pool.

Goodness, I find ones enough to look after, there are fish, frogs and 3 waterlilies, atm
