Nice stunning colors. Makes me think of a cobra.

The larvae climbed upwards out of the pond onto the Sarracenia, then emerged facing down as an adult Dragonfly.

Only noticed the Dragonfly as I was putting my newly bought Sarracenia into the pond. I returned to see if it had pumped up its wings, it obviously had because it had gone. The empty laval case is still attached there.

Thats funny cos when I saw the thumbnail, my first thought was...oh, Sue has her new Sarracenia! Then when I saw the photo I forgot all about the Sarracenia! ๐Ÿ˜€

Karen, I got my new Sarracenia yesterday, but the one shown is a couple of years old.

Maybe it had gone down the throat of the Saracenia!

It wouldn't get very far, pitcher too full of flies.

I need some of those at the workshop. We're plagued by the really irritating miniscule black flies.

Meanie, They're rather demanding about growing conditions, need bright light, rain water and nutrient free growing medium.

Lovely plant, and a bonus with the dragonfly hatching too. Seen quite a few damsel flies and dragonflies this year.
