Rhododendron luteum.....

Rhododendron luteum..... (Rhododendron luteum (Common Yellow Azalea))

Deciduous Azalea! yellow, large, fast growing woodland acid soil, bought online from Ashwood Nurseries Kingswinford West Midlands, one of the best nurseries in the country, not the cheapest! this is where 95% of our original plants came from, first time we have bought from them online and we will certainly use them again........

One I look forward to each year as Karen said the scent is superb ,the two I have are the only azalea I ever grew from seed probably 30 years ago so long lived.

Thanks Karen, it is cold for the south, I can assure you, we have had some hard frosts this January.
Brian that is why we bought it, for the scent at this time of the year, and we needed something tallish (near to our noses!!) Lol.

There was one here when I came, but it was in such a terrible state that I removed it. I must get another. I wonder if there is a white scented var.....

It is a very pretty one K, have never bought plants on Amazon, everything else yes, have you had any plants from them ?

29 Jan, 2015

No! This is the first time, but it looked rather like the seller was a Dutch nursery. I'll let you know how it goes. I've not had much luck with plants on EBay though....hope Amazon don't disappoint me.

29 Jan, 2015

Please do, because I like AmazonI hope you won't be disappointed, eBay is very hit and miss!!
