Oenothera self seeded cross

siris

By Siris

Oenothera self seeded cross (Oenothera)

Probably a cross between Oenothera biennis and O. versicolor Sunset Boulevard, both which I have. I like the orange tint to this and am allowing it to self seed.

I can see why, it’s a very pretty flower, Siris. I agree, I’m liking the orange and yellow combination.

From what I read, Siris, they shouldn't like our clay soil, but I planted out seedlings in late summer and they have all survived. They have an orange tint too. Looking forward to seeing how they go next summer. Yours is a great colour mix.

Yes, I'm pleased with it. It is quite tall, but stands upright well, lots of seed!
