Maurandya barclayana (Maurandya barclayana)

A tender climber that does tend to self seed, as has this plant. It would probably not survive too far north.

Yes, I suppose it does look like a Penstomen flower. I've some purple and also red Pentemons which look similar.

I've another one, also self seeded, but in the shade, and climbing gently up the trunk of one of the Pear trees.
