The only bulb/corm that in any way resembles your plant, which is lovely, is this Ixia, but I do not have that many and they are not knowingly in the garden.

Yes, I saw yours. Yours isn't out in the borders is it?, mine is in a tub under the carport.
The photo was to try to identify something for Steragram, which should be a species Gladiolus, but her picture doesn't look like one I sent!

Yes...in the border alongside the drive. Oh-oh...just looked it up. I'll dig them out after flowering and pot them for overwintering in the greenhouse..thanks! Mind you...they were in the ground all winter and we did have frosts...maybe I'll chance it!

Well we all live and learn, might try one in the border, but would probably get lost amongst bigger plants.
