Glaucium flavum

siris

By Siris

Glaucium flavum (Glaucium flavum (Yellow horned poppy))

I assume the Horned Poppy got its name from the long seed pods. It is a self seeding biennial.

You sent me seed, I must sow! Very pretty.

Providing you cut the early seed pods off, it just flowers on and on, then later leave a pod or two for more seed. Also the whole plant is this interesting glaucus colour.

The yellow/brown flower in the foreground is actually a Bearded Iris 'Rocket'.
