Castilleja caudata 1

Castilleja caudata 1 (Castilleja caudata)

A favorite of mine, local indian paintbrush. Where I come from, the was a scarlet paintbrush that I loved. This is its own beauty, but a beauty the same.

So different from our local wildflowers. Please post more pictures of Alaskan natives! I would love to see them!

I've got plenty up my sleeve. I'm taking far more photos than I've time to post. I'll get them on though. I've got a wild section in my garden too, in the w's, if you'd like to check out past postings too Lauram. :-)

I agree with Lauram: it's good to see native plants growing in their own enviroment. I reconise the wild strawberry from the UK,but not the Pyrola and Castilleja.Great pictures as always, GT.

Thank you. I'm stalling on a collection of wild masses from the other side of the range on a quick trip. Be posting soon. :-)
