Upsidedown

DiOhio

By Diohio

Upsidedown (Asclepias tuberosa)

I think this is the neatest upsidedown butterfly pic that I've taken so far ! The Tiger Swallowtail tried to get every little drop of nectar from the Butterfly Weed and didn't care about me looking down on him at all ! I was just inches away.

Fabulous, Diohio, it looks quite large, what wingspan do you think?

This butterfly is quite large..........in fact I think it's probably our largest here in Ohio. Wingspan is about 5 1/2 inches or to 140mm.

What else?

See who else is growing Asclepias tuberosa.

See who else has plants in genus Asclepias.

This photo is of "Butterfly Weed" in Diohio's garden
