It is not edible , I presume ?
We met a man in the woods yesterday , and he had collected several smallish clumps of various fungi ; I asked how he cooked them , and he said that he usually dries them in the boiler room , and uses them during the winter to flavour his stews .
Loved that !
We have seen very few this year .
