Buried Alive

Went to the Oregon Coast for vacation for a week – had a lot of fun exploring some awesome Pacific Coast beaches with the hubby, kids and the dogs. I thought I would share a couple of pics of my dogs that you guys might get a kick out of . . .

This is Yuki, our female, taking a nap after my daughter buried her in the sand.

If one is good, surely two is better? Here are both of our dogs buried up to their heads . . .

This is Kuma, our male – he’s such a good sport

It was a fun day at the beach – got a lot of funny comments from people about the dogs, and even had some stop to take pictures. :)

Lovely dogs. Who cleaned them after their visit to the beach? Or should I say under the beach!!

Maybe they were keeping cool, certainly good sports. Lucky you living in the USA the sand is almost white unlike ours, a sort of 'muddy' colour.

You have some very patient dogs!

I honestly couldn't believe that both of them let my daughter cover them up - it was pretty funny. And thankfully Linda, since the dogs were dry and the sand was dry, they got up, shook off, and didn't look any worse for the wear. I do love the sand Heron - although sometimes when the sun is shining it can be blinding - almost like snow . . . :) Thanks for the compliment on the chairs, Joanella - they are my favorite for camping and go with my whole "patriotic" theme that I've decorated the camper in. And my dogs are pretty patient, Lauram - except at dinner time!! :) The boy actually grabs his bowl, brings it into the living room, and then proceeds to yodel at us until one of us fills it . . . haha

All three of mine just start barking non-stop at 6 AM since that's when I generally get up on work days. Makes sleeping in difficult when at times I'd really like to!

This is so funny. I'm so glad you took pics and thankful you posted them for us. It made my day. It brings back memories when we kids went camping, before we had a camper, and we would dig us a hole, making it flat, put on some coals from the campfire, add some more sand over the coals, put a folded tarp over that, then finished with more sand.. We had us a nice warm bed.
Your dogs, definitely much better.
