~my husbands walking the dog wellies with steel toecaps for taking on Flower Pot People,my muck boots and my new ones which are too stiff to walk in just yet!Complete with Harveys milk bottles which can stand a lot of destruction and are then taken for recycling!

A really good line-up of wellies here. Another for my favourites.
Well done, Arlene.
These should deter a fair few Flower Pot People.

Hywel's idea for the bear family does look ideal.
A good thing Andrewr already has wellies for Barney bear and Bruno bear.
( see his recent photos ) Andrewr has also started his important research as Team Historian, findng out which pubs would be good for the GoY Wellie Olympics Christmas Party Pub Crawl. He is really putting his heart and soul into this project. Two photos uploaded at the last count......
well, he must thoroughly research each tavern, before he moves on to the next. :o)

My wellies were new in 1960. Do they qualify for any special award?
They finally have one small leak, which, for some reason, delights my grandson.

Readejahn ~
There must be some kind of leaky wellies event you could enter for the GoY Wellie Olympics. Please visit my Wellie blog. any time and suggest an event in which you could compete. We need you and your antique wellies. :o)

Looked at the blog, but daunted by 300+replies! I think my wellies have lasted so long because I don't use them much! I'm always a bit wary when I go to the shed to get them that I might find something nasty inside. I'm sure I've squashed a few spiders!

How about this well-known vintage wellie sport ~
A walk of ten yards in ancient wellies which might be full of squashed spiders.:o)

Sounds like you would get gold, for sure.
Does that seem suitable ? Lol.
