Tata's grapes

Tata's grapes

Last weekend we visited my Tata (grandfather). He grows a variety of grapes and makes his own wine. We got to help by sorting through the grapes and we helped by pressing the grapes. He's got a very rustic , bare bones settup. There was also wine tasting. Jeff liked one batch so much that my Tat gave him one to take home.

We are in wine country here ....my grand mother grew grapes...it always amazed me to see them so plump. I don't think she ever grew them for wine though....~Cj

What did she do with all of her grapes, CJ? Did she just grow a few? My Tata says that he's getting a red concord ready for me, for next year. I'm not sure if he's grafted it or what, but can't wait!! Concord grapes are my fave, they make every other grape taste like sugar water, to me.

She just grew them to eat...they were a deep reddish purple...they were good.
