Did it get a paint job here, your chimenea? It looks like a nice glazed ceramichere. In your other photo it looked like terra cotta...

It had been used the day before- thats just burned off rust- its cast iron.

It does- it originally came in 2 pieces but they are well & truely welded together now so its staying put!
