Why do all bees around your garden have so long noses, SL? I have never seen this sort of bees here. :) :) :)

SL....mores to the point do they live up here in Scotland?

8 Apr, 2012

they like Honeysuckle or Aubrieta, any long trumpet flower really, but honeysuckle is their fav.. they should be every where Scottish but they are rarer now....

Thanks Beverly :-)

SL- If they like Honeysuckle most of all, as you said, then it is intriguing how this plant got its English name :)

9 Apr, 2012

which name Kat, i've heard of a few ~ Honeysuckle, woodbine, goatleaf ~

9 Apr, 2012

I think Kat means the "Honey" in Honeysuckle.?

But I think that is because the nectar in Honeysuckle is said to taste of honey though Katarina.

Ahh i see cheers Pp, i'm having one of my moments :-))

9 Apr, 2012

...I meant "to suck the honey"...Honeysuckle...

9 Apr, 2012

I see..Katarina. We saw the bees sucking the honey and named the plant thus.?

9 Apr, 2012

You do not need to do that. Generations before might do it, Pp :)

9 Apr, 2012

Lol..The bee looks like Gonzo from the Muppets
