I live in the land of the pasty and every year I try and go to France at least twice to see what plants grown in peoples garden and on the sides of bridges and canals in boxes. I have just been reading about the feathery grass that lasts just one year but over there they are the staple plant that is seen every where mixed in with other plants, absolutely beautiful. The pride in my garden is a massive Stipa that this year will need the centre taking out as that is where it tends to die from so a big job for the spring.
