About me

I live in North West England and moved into a new house last year where I grew some vegetables for the first time in a rather neglected vegetable patch. I have quite a large garden which, unfortunately, has all been rather negected as the elderly lady who lived here had been alone for the past few years.

I have decided to persevere with my vegetable patch (I work full time), and am about to plant potatoes, runner beans, broad beans and onions. I am also trying seeds for the first time and have chosen courgettes, aubergines, cucumbers, tomatoes, sunflowers and sweet peas, all of which I have never grown before. I have found it really exciting (how sad!) watching everything germinating.

I love looking at gardening books, and on-line, finding new plants and getting ideas. I also have queries about lots of things in my garden which is how I found the site!
