An other way to recycle

Good evening play mates,
Well the ducks have really enjoyed the weather here today but us humans didn’t,
fine rain all day long until 7pm tonight.

Ive an interest in old push bikes and i bought one last year at one of the “brocantes” (car boot sale)
Its really old and has those type of breaking system that lift up under the wheel rim, no cables only rods for the brakes and a huge bell on the sit up and beg handle bars,
the mud guards are tin and this bike has no gears,
the seat is a really big leather one with two huge springs to the rear of this seat,

The day i bought it i couldnt help but think how old is this cycle and who & when was it last used, Is the owner well gone now?

Well i bought it for a winter project, it’s in need of a complete strip re-spray clean all the working parts, re-grease and put it back together and its tobe used for cycling from our house down to the future allotment.

Well because of this rain today i decided to start to strip the bike down and this will give me the verious sections to rub down and start to re-spray.

Every section of the bike is now in sections “except” the front forks, they’re tight due to age and the fact they’ve never been seperated from the handle bars, so these have been soaked in wd40 and i hope tomorrow they’ll release from the handle bars.

It’s nice to have a work place, I think everyman should have such a place to have time to himself,

Ive had the radio on and enjoyed question time and even womans hour, some good stuff talked about on both these programs,
So it’s not been a bad day inspite of the rain.

Lottie enjoyed a good sleep in the workshop and only woke when the kettle went on and the biscuit’s appeared
then she want’s attention but as soon as i carry on working within 5 mins you hear her dreaming, the odd yelp & a snore,

Still its nice to enjoy the simple things in life,

It’s to be nice here tomorrow and ive been told we’re going to a brocante in some little village,
So i’ll let you know how it turns out.

Until tomorrow, be good and enjoy the weekend.
Regards dungy.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your day. I fell asleep on the lawn (again!) in the sunshine, puzzle book still open on my lap. Had a restful day now most of my work in the garden is done and the rain the last couple of days means there's no watering to be done.

I used to enjoy cycling, but my bike was stolen from the garden shed many years ago, and I haven't cycled since. There's too much traffic on the roads nowadays, I wouldn't dare cycle now.

good morning all,
I wont keep you long as im sure the bells are calling you to the big mans house, and you'll all wont to be there,

The weather here is nice this morning, My automatic alarm went off about 5-30am and is still churping away now as i tap this little lot out, (wonderful things "Gods creations " so are shot guns", only joking) who wants to lay in bed anyway????????

It's true what "Kidsgran has sais ref pulling bikes apart"
I saw a real bargain a few weeks ref an old tin peddle car on one of the markets, it was a rust heap but i new i could really bring it back to life and so i said to "her who has they key to her purse & hand bag"
can i but that tin car?

No she snapped you've alreadt got a bike you've not fixed, (I felt like a 5 year old just been told off)

But thats life and who'd want to change it anyway,

Well be good and enjoy the day, Oh ive just finished the bood i was reading ref george best,
If your ever feeling like wasting your life away and need a guide to help you! read that book its called "Blessed".

Regards Dungy.

I can hardly wait for the next installment

Reminds me of my favourite syd barrett song from piper at the gates of dawn

Bike
(Barrett) 3:22

I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like.
It's got a basket, a bell that rings
And things to make it look good.
I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, everything if you want things.

I've got a cloak it's a bit of a joke.
There's a tear up the front. It's red and black.
I've had it for months.
If you think it could look good, then I guess it should.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, everything if you want things.

I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house.
I don't know why I call him Gerald.
He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, everything if you want things.

I've got a clan of gingerbread men.
Here a man, there a man, lots of gingerbread men.
Take a couple if you wish. They're on the dish.

You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world.
I'll give you anything, everything if you want things.

I know a room full of musical tunes.
Some rhyme, some ching, most of them are clockwork.
Let's go into the other room and make them work.

We had a proper summer's day here yesterday.
Coffee in the sunshine while the leg of lamb barbecued and then Sunday lunch on the patio. It went down very well with a glass of red wine.
The only gardening I did was to water the baskets and greenhouse, at last a day to just enjoy the garden.
