Took a stroll around the garden after brekfast, when I got back from church. [They are re-surfacing the road outside the front of the house so we can’t get the car out today-they are rather noisey in their persuits!]
Thank goodness for the haven of the walled garden.
Very cold and dull again today so not much fun out there but Millie and Moomie [felines] loved us being out with them; I think they speak English-I say “in the garden” and they rouse them selves and follow us out.
One daffordil nearly in bloom, but the magnolia bush which has been promised the chop for the past five years since we have had it [it does not bloom] has about ten promising looking ??buds! Last year it produced one beautiful blossom, we were delerious with joy! I will add a picture [much photographed] when I find out how to.
No frogs today, must be at the bottom of the pond.

It was very chilly here as well today..around +3°C with a wind as well that made it seem colder. I went down to the datcha today and made a cup of coffee and just cleared up a few things...with my coat buttoned up, only stayed about an hour though...roll on the warmer weather!.

Great news about your magnolia. I'm sure it feels relieved lol
My cat pesters me until I follow her down the garden. If I don't go she just keeps on pestering. So I give in and follow her

Hi Driad! Welcome to GOY....hopefully spring is on the way, but like you, we have been stuck in midwinter all of Feb. so far....things can only get better......I have 3 Magnolias, Heaven Scent, which has flowered beautifully every year since it was planted, Leonard Messel (new last year) and Susan, which is also new, but has no flower buds at all this year. I think Leonard Messel has a few though....it will be great when we get to that time of the year...still a way to go before then!
