A nice place to walk. I preffer the deciduous part. It's more natural , and lighter aswell.

Look forward to it Drc Like Hywell I prefer deciduous but any sort of wood suits me, I'd like to live in one. Up on the hills by me the NT have cut down most of the Birch which is definitely not indigenous and restored the original heathland with small copses.Thankfully the pine trees planted in straight rows in the 60' are being replaced by mixed wood.

We are very lucky as we are surrounded by the forestry commission parks and all are open to the public. I have always loved forests since as children we use to play in Thetford Forest in Norfolk Sanbaz
