Chicken and Duck

Today my little black hen turned up with 4 babys just hatched out of the egg, So I collected then all and put them in the hen nursary Then this afternoon my partner turned up with a very young duckling looking very,sorry for its self. It Was very wet and very cold, My partner said it was on its own in the water. Well I have put it underneath my little black hen with her new babys and she does not seem to mind. Nature is a wonerfull thing

aww poor thing must have got lost some how donnah, then just gone in the water, glad your partner found it and brought it home, lovely little hen taking it under her wing ;o))

I have just checked on the little duck it was sitting on its own so I hav put it back under the hen. The hen is very god with it but the duckling has not got the sense yet to keep with the hen for warmth. But as I am at home for 3 days holiday can keep an eye on it Fingers crossed
