Visit to Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens Aug 2011

We went to Weymouth for a weeks holiday and managed to visit the Subtropical Gardens, which coincidently was also featured on Gardeners World on the Friday before we went on holiday (which made me want to visit more!) as I have considered going a couple of times before as we holiday in Weymouth regularly, but being down there in August was probably a better time of year to go.
Here are some of the pictures I took:-
This is a pittosporum which was about 10ft tall
Gunnera leaf about 6ft in diameter
These pictures are of the walk up to the viewpoint, and the view at the top.
Hope you enjoyed the pics, doesnt really do it justice, but enjoyed the visit very much :^)

Beautiful. This is a place I like to visit. Unfortunately it is too far away for me for a day trip as I never go away on holidays.

Thanks for showing us your lovely photos. We visited Abbotsbury a couple of years ago, and I thought it was one of the best gardens I'd seen! So it's lovely to see it again . . .
