Our front garden today..

The lawn has been mowed and now it looks better here are some photos of our wrap around front garden as I’ve never shown any before..
The first two photos show the border by our private parking space. Every house on our private culdisac that does not have its own driveway has its own parking space just for them.

The border against the house..

Just around the corner from the parking area on the culdisac is the main/front of the house.

This border is against the porch and main entrance to our house..

This next photo is of the part of the front garden that will soon be part of the back garden. The fence at the far end will be moved to the front end of the photo. We will then have fencing on top of the wall too. This is because we will be having a small conservatory and because we have a dog we would like to compensate the back garden space. Hence why there’s only bedding plants against the fence because they can be just dug right out..

This next photo is of the standard rose purchased today.. Beneath it between the few pieces of slate is two of the agapanthus bulbs I bought the other week. This border will be gradually filled with perennials as is will be part of the back garden..

And finally here is the new red anemone and the clump of daffodils just to brighten up the temporary area. Eventually the area they are planted in will form the join between the now front garden and the current back garden to compensate and increase the back garden space after we have the conservatory built :)

Great idea. It looks very pretty. And nice not to be on a through road. Ours was so quiet when we first moved here (44 years ago) but there's so much more traffic now. It was used as a diversion a few years ago when the main road was closed for resurfacing and a lot of people discovered they could use it to avoid the traffic lights. It has a 20mph limit, but that's a laugh, isn't it?

Exactly the same with our road! It goes no where at all it's a dead end but some residents at the very top seem to think that it's a bit of a race track sometimes. Other than that is is very very quiet :) it's a shame when a few don't treat the roads with respect in residential areas :)

Too true ...

It's awful! But it's only 1 or 2 people here so it's not bad :)
