Garden progress so far, 2010 vs 2013

Hi guys,

First post :) Great forum, I’ve joined up to get some inspiration for more colour in my garden now the hardy backbone is now established. Thought I’d share the progress so far.

On moving into the new house the garden was rather bare, a few rose bushes, empty borders, rickety fances, red painted house, and lots of woody budlejas!

I’m in the Northwest UK climate zone 8b, but 2009+2010 winters took me to a 7b. Onto the pictures :)

Welcome to Goy Cordyman. Your garden looks fabulous, what an amazing transformation. You've worked so hard. We've only lived in our house a couple of years. It was gutted and we had to do a full refurb. We moved in in the April and instead of painting all the newly plastered walls we spent our two weeks off in the garden.....well we did have a gloriously sunny two weeks and hey, painting can wait!

Thanks for the warm welcome all :)

I've done far more in the garden than interior, there are still two rooms need repainting! I figure winter's a good time to do indoor jobs :D

Its just started raining which should do the garden some good, its been rather arid since the start of July, so i'm out everynight watering usually!
