About me

Terribly new to this website and only gardening since a few years I have taken to the latter though as a duck to water. Thoroughly enjoying it. I love to visit nurseries, garden shows and 'professional' gardens such as those at stately homes and gardens which have been around for a long, long time.
I am learning every day, but am strictly amateur. Also a member of the Lincs' branch of the Hardy Plant Society and ofcourse a RHS member.
I have one of those long, narrow gardens as I live in a 30s' ex-council semi-detached house. At 22m deep it begged to be changed when I moved in (2004) as it was your typical lawn split in two by a concrete garden path leading to the obligatory shed at the bottom. O, and don't forget the washing line!
Hope to put photo's on soon.
My five cats (own and foster [I volunteer for Lincoln Cat Care]) love to help me when I am working in it. Especially when I do some digging..
The garden is quite wild, but is starting to look better every year. There is always room for an extra plant and I try to have as many different kinds as possible. I don't do veg (yet). Trying to come to grips with flower plants first.
