September Colour

I hve been so pleased with the colour in my garden this year, and it is now September 10th and it looks like it will go on for a while yet. There are still Phlox, Asters, Dahlias and of course my Begonias and Heuchera all adding to the colours. I have been around this morning and taken a few snaps and although my garden is small, thought you might like to see it.

You say your garden is your life, well you lead a very colourful Cinders, looks like you've had a ball. You obviously know a thing or two about planting. Ok it's not big but then neither are diamonds and your garden is a real gem, Well done you've something to be proud of.

Well thank you very much Heron, what a lovely thing to say, your very kind. Actually I do have other interests, but gardening I think comes first. One can forget all the cares and woes while tending it.

**************************************

I'm back after my second tour - please would you tell me what the blue-flowered plant is in photo no. 7?

10 Sep, 2010

Hi Cinders, you really have still got lots of colour there,I wish I had half the plants you have here this time of year. You say its only a small garden but it is neat and tidy and there is still a lot to look at and enjoy, very charming in my opinion, love it! You've done well.

Thank you Hywel, I think it will go on for a while yet.

Spritz, thank you for your nice comments. Coming from you, with your lovely garden that is praise indeed.

Richard, you are really kind, and although I say it myself, there IS a lot of interest in there. But it has been growing for a few years now so I have had plenty of time to get plants flowering at every time of year. Thank you.

10 Sep, 2010

Spritz, it is a form of sage called Clary. It comes in blue, pink and white. I think, I'm almost sure, without looking at the packet of seed, that it is an annual. I only grew it this year. I will look at the packet tomorrow and let you know if there is any more information if you are interested.

10 Sep, 2010

You're welcome Cinders.I suppose I would be in the same boat if I gave my plants chance instead of keep digging everything up every year or so and changing my mind on the garden layout lol! One day I might just get it how I want.

10 Sep, 2010

I'm sure you will Richard, don't despair, yours will soon be fine
